Chappaqua houses
Built for Chappaqua houses
Chappaqua, a hamlet in the town of New Castle, is mostly single-family houses on hilly, wooded lots, with a small village center around the train station.
Colonials & farmhouses
Center-hall colonials and older farmhouse-style houses where kitchens and family rooms are reworked and mudrooms are added for busy households.
Mid-century & contemporary houses
Post-war modern and contemporary houses with long walls of glass, low ceilings in places and open plans that suit clean-lined built-ins and glass-front storage.
New custom houses
Recent houses on larger lots with double-height rooms, big kitchens, dressing rooms and lower-level living space that call for full-height cabinetry.
Village shops & offices
Small storefronts and offices near the station, with shelving, display walls and cabinetry built to the fit-out drawings.

Planning
Planning millwork for a Chappaqua house
- Steep or long driveways and the truck’s turning room at the house
- Truck routing from Brooklyn on the interstates, since the parkways are closed to trucks
- Town of New Castle permits handled by your architect or builder
- Final measurements after framing and drywall in new and rebuilt houses

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver to Chappaqua from Brooklyn?
Yes. Pieces are built in our Industry City shop and trucked to northern Westchester on a scheduled day. Installation is coordinated with your contractor or installation team.
What if my driveway is steep or the house sits far from the road?
Tell us about the driveway, parking and the route into the house when we review the project. Large pieces are sized and planned so they can be carried in safely.
Which of your services suit a mid-century or modern house?
Flat-panel cabinetry, built-in media walls and aluminum & glass closets and cabinet doors fit well with the simpler lines of modern houses.
Can a Planika fireplace go in a house without a chimney?
Planika bioethanol fireplaces need no chimney or gas line. Requirements for room size, air circulation and clearances vary by model and are confirmed before ordering.
