Planika Bioethanol Fireplaces for NYC Interiors
As a Planika partner, we supply bioethanol fireplaces that burn a real flame without a chimney or gas line, and plan them together with the millwork and walls around them.

How it works
A real flame, planned with the room
Bioethanol fireplaces burn liquid bioethanol fuel to produce a real flame, so they do not need a chimney, flue or gas connection. That makes them an option in apartments and rooms where a traditional fireplace is not possible.
Each Planika model has its own manufacturer requirements for room size, air circulation and clearances, so suitability is confirmed for your space before anything is ordered.
Confirmed before ordering
- Model and configuration
- Room size and air circulation
- Clearances to surrounding surfaces
- How it sits in the millwork or wall
- Your building’s rules
Requirements vary by Planika model and follow the manufacturer’s guidance.

With custom millwork
Fireplace and feature wall, planned together
Because we build custom millwork in our own shop, the fireplace and the wall, paneling or cabinetry around it can be planned as one piece, with the fireplace’s clearances and dimensions built into the drawings from the start.
