Rye homes
Built for Rye’s Sound-shore houses
Rye is a small city of older houses on the Sound, with village streets near the train station and larger properties along the shoreline.
Shingle-style & Victorian houses
Late 19th- and early 20th-century houses with porches, bay windows and sloped attic rooms, where built-ins are fitted under eaves and around original windows.
Colonials & Tudors
Center-hall colonials and Tudors on tree-lined streets, where kitchens, mudrooms and dressing rooms are typically reworked in a full renovation.
Shoreline properties
Houses near the water where salt air and seasonal humidity are reasons to talk through materials and finishes early, and where large windows leave less wall for storage.
Downtown apartments & shops
Condominiums and storefronts near the village center, where building access, delivery times and fit-out drawings set the plan.

What we build
What we build for Rye homes
Family houses here mostly call for kitchens, mudrooms and closets; glass systems and fireplaces fit the open, light-filled rooms that face the water.

Custom Millwork
Kitchen cabinetry, mudroom lockers and benches for a busy back door, attic and under-eave built-ins, libraries and window seats.
Custom Millwork
Aluminum & Glass Systems
Aluminum & glass walk-in closets, glass cabinet doors and lit shelves that keep bright, water-facing rooms open, built in our Brooklyn shop.
Aluminum & Glass Systems
Indoor Fireplace Systems
Planika bioethanol fireplaces with no chimney or gas line, for a family room or sunroom. Requirements for room size, air circulation and clearances vary by model.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How far is Rye from your shop?
Our shop is at 4014 1st Ave in Industry City, Brooklyn. Pieces for Rye are built there and delivered by truck on a scheduled day, with installation coordinated with your contractor or installation team.
Can you fit built-ins into attic rooms and sloped ceilings?
Yes. Built-ins are made to final site measurements, so they can follow sloped ceilings, knee walls and bays in older Rye houses.
Do you build mudroom storage?
Yes. Lockers, benches, cubbies and cabinets are built to the room’s measurements, often alongside a kitchen or laundry renovation.
Can a fireplace go in a sunroom or family room without a chimney?
A Planika bioethanol fireplace needs no chimney or gas line. Requirements for room size, air circulation and clearances vary by model and are confirmed before ordering.
