Garden City houses
Built for Garden City houses
Garden City was laid out as a planned village in the 19th century, and its tree-lined streets hold a mix of house ages, from original Victorians to colonials, Tudors and recent rebuilds.
Colonials & center halls
The village’s most common house type, where kitchens, family rooms and mudrooms are often opened up or extended and need cabinetry to match.
Tudors & older Victorians
Early houses with plaster walls, original trim, window seats and stair halls, where built-ins and paneling are scribed to rooms that are rarely square.
Expanded & rebuilt houses
Second-story additions and full rebuilds with larger primary suites, dressing rooms and finished basements that suit full-height storage.
Shops & offices
Storefronts and offices along the village’s commercial streets, with display walls and shelving built to the fit-out drawings.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do you build for houses in Garden City?
Yes. We build cabinetry, built-ins and closets for Garden City houses from our shop in Industry City, Brooklyn, and deliver by truck on a scheduled day.
Can new built-ins match the trim in an older house?
Pieces are built from your drawings and site measurements, and profiles and finishes are confirmed before fabrication, so new work can be planned to sit with existing trim and paneling.
Do you build mudroom and basement storage?
Yes. Mudroom lockers, benches and cabinets, basement media walls and storage are built to measurements and shop drawings like any other millwork.
