Roslyn homes

Built for Roslyn’s houses

Roslyn runs from the old village around the harbor and the clock tower up through hillside streets and estate-sized lots, so one project can mean a 19th-century house and the next a rebuilt one with a two-story foyer.

Historic village houses

Older houses in and around the Roslyn Village historic district, with low ceilings, original trim and floors that slope, where built-ins are scribed to the room rather than forced square, and new work is drawn to sit quietly beside the old.

Roslyn Heights colonials & ranches

Mid-century colonials, split-levels and ranches on smaller lots, often being opened up during a renovation, where a new kitchen, a mudroom bench or a hall closet makes the biggest difference.

Estates & larger houses

Bigger homes in Roslyn Estates, Roslyn Harbor and nearby East Hills, with dressing rooms, libraries, bars and walk-in closets that call for full-height cabinetry and coordinated finishes from room to room.

Condominiums & townhouses

Townhouse and condominium communities where owners want more out of compact closets and kitchens, and where the association may set rules for deliveries, parking and working hours.

Planning

Planning millwork for a Roslyn house

  • Scribing to plaster walls, sloped floors and original trim in older village houses
  • Truck access on hillside and harbor streets, and the route from the driveway into the room
  • Final measurements once framing, drywall and floors are in on a renovation or rebuild
  • Association rules on deliveries and work hours in condominium and townhouse communities

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you build for houses in Roslyn, Roslyn Heights and Roslyn Harbor?

Yes. We build cabinetry, built-ins and closets for homes throughout the Roslyn area, from our shop at 4014 1st Ave in Industry City, Brooklyn.

Can new built-ins suit an older village house?

Yes. Pieces are made to final site measurements and your drawings, so they can be scribed to walls and floors that are not square, and profiles and finishes can be chosen to sit alongside existing trim.

How does delivery to a Roslyn house work?

Everything is built in our Brooklyn shop and delivered by truck on a scheduled day. We confirm driveway access and the route into the house beforehand, and installation is coordinated with your contractor or installation team.

How do we get started?

Send drawings, photos or measurements through our contact page, or call 718-483-5274, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We will follow up to talk through scope and next steps.
