Hunters Point buildings

Built for Hunters Point’s towers and rowhouses

Hunters Point is the southwest corner of Long Island City, along the East River across from Midtown. Most homes are in recent high-rises, but a few blocks of older houses and converted industrial buildings remain.

Waterfront condominiums

Glass towers along Center Boulevard and the river, with floor-to-ceiling windows and efficient layouts, where custom closets and kitchens replace builder-standard fit-outs.

Historic rowhouses

Brick and brownstone rowhouses from the 1870s and 1880s on the blocks around 45th Avenue, with narrow stairs and original details, set among much newer buildings.

Rental & new-construction apartments

Newer apartment buildings inland from the water, where freestanding wardrobes, shelving and wall units can be planned so they don’t alter the walls.

Lofts & creative workspaces

Former warehouses and factory buildings near Vernon Boulevard and the rail yards, now studios, offices and showrooms that need display walls and shelving.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you build closets for Hunters Point condos?

Yes. We build aluminum & glass closets, wardrobes and cabinetry for condominium apartments, to approved drawings and your building’s rules.

How does delivery to a Hunters Point tower work?

Pieces are built in our Brooklyn shop and delivered by truck on a scheduled day, booked into the building’s loading dock and service elevator. Installation is coordinated with your contractor or installation team.

Can I add custom storage to a rental apartment?

Freestanding wardrobes, shelving and wall units can be planned to stand on their own, so they can be discussed with your landlord before anything is fixed to the walls.

Can a Planika fireplace go in a high-rise apartment?

Planika bioethanol fireplaces need no chimney or gas line. Requirements for room size, air circulation and clearances vary by model, and building rules should be checked before ordering.
